Passover

While they were eating (the Passover meal), Jesus took the bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body."
Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you.  This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.  I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom."
Matthew 26:26-29

This year we celebrated the Passover at home and it was just Bobby, the kids and myself.  (To see why we celebrate the Passover and what it's all about go here.)

It's so beautiful to celebrate Jesus' death and resurrection in a way that the kids love and are completely interested in.  Hannah begs every year to celebrate the Passover.  She enjoys drinking the glasses of grape juice and eating the matzah while hearing the story of the first passover and how Jesus became the fulfillment of it when He sacrificed Himself as our true passover lamb.

--Hannah helps make the kharoset.--

--I realized afterward that we weren't supposed to have the "shankbone" there...oops!--

--Ready for Passover!--

 --Hannah washes her hands.--

--Sammy is clearly excited about his matzah ball soup!--

--So serious!  Hannah found the afikomen and is bartering with Bobby.  Her price was $8.00.--

--Sammy examines the pierced matzah, just as Jesus was pierced for us.---

The Clark's Next Big Adventure

So much for keeping the blog updated this year 😂  The Clark family is embarking on another adventure though and it's too big not to doc...
