Where's Waldo?

This past Monday I took the kids to the Where's Waldo? party at the Seneca library.  Sammy loves Waldo and we've found him in every book the library owns.  Seriously.  The minute he heard about this party he was determined we were going.

There was a contest to find the best Waldo look-alike so Bobby & I worked on making the kids a costume - which consisted of jeans, a white t-shirt with red tape for stripes and kids 3D glasses with the lenses punched out.  There were only two other kids besides Hannah & Samuel who dressed up so everyone received a prize.  Hannah & Sam had to share theirs but they don't mind.  Can you guess what the prize was?

My sister, Bonnie, reads with the kids before the party starts.

Sammy enjoys a delicious red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting.

Have you been missing Amos?  He's seven weeks old today!  I believe we have another thumb sucker on our hands...

hannah & samuel

Are you tired yet of all things baby?  I just realized that poor Hannah & Samuel have been slightly forgotten on this blog lately.  We need to remedy this...

Even though we have a newborn I've been trying to get the kids out of the house and to at least one activity a week.  I don't think it's fair for them to miss out on summer fun because of their new brother.

So we've been to a pajama party at our local library...
...Summer Reading Medal's...

 ...animal crackers & Yoo-Hoo's...
 ...play-doh table...

Summer's 8th birthday party...
...Satchel & Hannah...
...Satchel & Sammy were the only boys at the Hello Kitty party...

and Satchel's 6th birthday party...
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU...
I didn't get more pictures of Satchel's birthday party b/c I was nursing Amos and then we headed out to the pool where I actually got to swim this time!  He obviously had a Star Wars party which was super fun!

And Hannah has been enjoying the blocks that came with her home school curriculum.  She gets them out daily and plays around making different patterns.  She's so ready to start school and would already be working if I'd let her.  But her slacker Mama has forgotten to pay for my accountability group so we're not starting school until the first week of September.

one.

Mr. Amos is one month old (as of yesterday).  The Lord has blessed us with a good sleeper and we often find him asleep with his arms straight down by his side & his legs straight out.  He loves to be held but has adjusted well to sleeping in his crib.  He's very patient and laid back which is good considering he often has to wait his turn for my attention.  He is captivated by his older siblings and will turn his head to find them when they're talking.  He is so close to smiling.  I tell him he better smile at me first since I'm doing all of the hard work!  He dislikes getting a bath and being buckled into his car seat (but calms down as soon as we start moving.)  Baby boy is a perfect addition to our family and we're blessed beyond measure.

*Amos' outfit was made especially for him by Bobby's cousin-in-law.  Isn't it super cute?

the Entire Clark Clan

Last weekend we were blessed with a visit from the other Clark Clan.  Dave, Karen and the twins visited for a few days so they could meet Amos.  Since we barely have room for our own crew, they stayed with Bobby's uncle but came up several times.

Hannah & Samuel really enjoyed playing with their little cousins.  Bobby & I were excited to see the girls again since it had been a year since we had seen them last.  Now they're walking and curiously exploring the world around them.  While they were at the house they played on the trampoline, checked out our neighbors horse and fed our chickens.  It's often messy having so many farm type animals around but it certainly is fun for little ones when they visit us!

I hate that we don't get to visit each other very often but hopefully we'll be able to make more trips to NC when Mr. Amos is a little bigger...

We made several attempts at a family picture.  The girls would be playing happily until we sat them down on the couch.  At one point Catherine, who was sitting on Dave's lap, punched Samantha in the face.  Samantha started crying so Dave put Catherine on the couch and picked up Samantha.  So Catherine started crying.  Amos would be crying but when it was picture time he stopped crying.  It was too comical!

Poor Amos looks so tired.  And we completely lost Samantha...

Catherine enjoyed feeding blueberries to Uncle Bobby.

Aunt Karen & the kids have fun on the trampoline.

Amos @ 3 Weeks

Amos promptly threw up everywhere after this picture.  The kind of throw up that requires a new change of clothes after a nice warm bath.  Now his tummy is full again and he's taking a nap.  Hannah & Samuel are jumping on the trampoline and I'm enjoying this brief moment of quietness!

The Clark's Next Big Adventure

So much for keeping the blog updated this year 😂  The Clark family is embarking on another adventure though and it's too big not to doc...
