Mr. Clark is away on a business trip at the moment. He left Thursday and will be gone until later this week.
So the kids & I have been staying busy. We only get to talk to Bobby right before bedtime and we've only had one meltdown so far. Last night Sammy finished talking to his Daddy, hung up the phone and burst into tears. "I want Daddy to come home!" he sobbed. I was finally able to calm him down with some sugar cookies and chocolate milk.
Here's what we've been up to so far:
Friday -
- We had lunch at Cook-Out with my parents.
- After lunch Hannah went with my Daddy & Sammy went with my Mama. Amos & I returned home for naps.
- After nap time we picked up Hannah & Samuel. The first thing we did was vacuum out Grandma Rocket because she was dirty.
- Then we headed to Chick-Fil-A for supper.
- After supper I surprised the kids by taking them to Pet Smart to get a new goldfish each. It's been a while since our last fish died and I've been promising them lately that we'd get a new one. I meant to take my camera into Pet Smart but left it in the car by accident. I wish I had because Amos loved the gerbils, hamsters and turtles. Plus the kids got to pet a king snake.
- After a quick trip into Aldi for sugar cookies decorated to look like pumpkins we headed home.
- We settled down with our cookies & chocolate milk to watch 'Oz the Great and Powerful.' Hannah loves all things 'Wizard of Oz' related at the moment so I knew she'd like it.
Saturday -
- Amos woke up at 4am wanting to play. I left him alone and he finally went back to sleep around 5 or 5:30am.
- We all finally got up a little before 9:30am and ate breakfast. Then we sat around in our pj's for a while.
- I played with Amos until lunch. He went down for a nap after lunch.
- I asked the kids if they wanted to play Candy Land. They set up the board and had Hannah's Wizard of Oz toys out to use as our pieces. It was fun but short lived because Aunt Bonnie arrived.
- Bonnie decides she wants a funnel cake so we call my Mom and head to Oktoberfest on Main. Bonnie bought us funnel cakes and I paid an absurd amount for the kids to have their faces painted. Sammy's did look pretty cool but seriously...
- We finally decide to eat supper at the Steak House before heading home.
- Bathes, bed and now I'm watching 'The Hunger Games.' Again. We watched it right after Amos was born but I fell asleep during it due to sleep deprivation.
Tomorrow we spend the morning fellowshipping with our brothers & sisters in Christ and hopefully a nap in the afternoon.
Monday we'll get caught up on chores (there's not many with Mr. Clark gone) and get ahead on school.
Tuesday we're heading to Santa's Land with my parents. The kids can hardly wait! I've charged my camera and I'm ready to take lots of pictures!!
