Going to the Movies

Hannah loves when I make a "movie theater" for her and Sammy. I put down a blanket, get out the husband pillows, pop some popcorn, put in a movie and the fun begins. Today after we finished all of our chores I put in 'Monsters vs Aliens'. We saw it in 3D at the theater and Hannah liked it so much she wanted to buy it. So we slipped it into our cart while we were grocery shopping yesterday. She was so surprised!!! I love our movie theaters just as much as the kids do!!

More Pictures of the Tea Party

I would love to take credit for these pictures (they're so clear and bright - I'm thinking I need a better camera...) but I can't. I shamelessly took them from the Chick-fil-A website. I was so busy participating that I didn't get pictures of everything but thankfully they did!

Jennifer Iseli and I arrived at the same time. Here we're signing in.

This is the table where we sat. I love the colors they used!

Each individual setting...

The tiniest cup of tea...

Each table got their own teapot. Jennifer's Hannah did a great job of pouring tea.

Our group.

Hannah ran to so she could be in the picture with the Chick-fil-A cow.

Not quite sure who the little girl is but the other lady is Katie. She's Chick-fil-A's events coordinator and she knows us by name. When we don't come for a while she emails us to see how we're doing. Hannah loves Katie!!

A Tea Party

Today was the Mother/Daughter Tea Party at Chick-fil-A. Hannah was so excited to wear her fancy dress and have an actual tea party. I must admit it was a lot of fun! We started out decorating crown shaped sugar cookies. Then we had tea time (which was actually some really tart lemonade.) Then they served our lunch - 6 piece nuggets, waffle fries and fruit skewers. After lunch we had a small cup of Ice Dream ice cream with sprinkles on top. The "fancy" Chick-fil-A cow put in an appearance so Hannah had her picture made with her. When we left they gave us all a balloon, a pink carnation and a goodie bag. Hannah had a blast and I got to spend some time with Jennifer (a friend of mine) who was there with her two daughters - Hannah (who's Hannah's age) and Brooklyn (who is 2 months younger than Sammy.)

I hope you enjoy the pictures of our fancy tea party...

Hannah waiting for the party to begin.

Brooklyn is such a cutie!! She ate her cookie first and the frosting later!

Hannah models Brooklyn's boa.

A somewhat blurry picture of Hannah's cookie after she added the icing and two containers of chocolate sprinkles.

A group shot - me because the lady who took the picture didn't move back far enough.
Yay! I finally made it into the picture but everyone else has moved on so I'm the only one looking. The cute blond across from me is the "other" Hannah.

Super Snap

One of Hannah's favorite shows is the Backyardigans and lately we've been watching the episode where Tasha has a secret identity - Super Snap. She's normally a photographer for a newspaper but when someone is in distress, she snaps her fingers and becomes Super Snap. So today after watching this episode Hannah told me, "I want to pretend to be a super-hero. I have to dress up and I need a cape." Okay.

Not having any super-hero costumes on hand at the moment we had no choice but to improvise. She put on the tights that I bought her for winter, her black leotard from gymnastics and we made a cape out of a baby blanket. After she was dressed and ready to save the day she found Samuel's sunglasses and added that to the mix as well. Being such a creative little girl she decided that her secret hero identity would be...Super Snap. Big surprise there!

I had to get a pictures of my little super hero so enjoy!!
