She Lost It!

Finally.

Last Saturday Hannah showed me her bottom front tooth and said it was loose.  I swear she's had a "loose" tooth since November of last year so I really didn't think anything of it.  Bobby wiggled it and said that it was loose and told her to keep working on it.
That afternoon we went to a baby shower/pool party where I cautioned her not to wiggle her tooth...who wants to swim to the bottom of the pool and find a tooth?!  She came to me again and was showing me how it was going and as she tilted her head I noticed that her permanent (bottom front) teeth were already starting to come in behind those baby teeth.  You should have seen the way her face brightened up ... she was clearly excited!  She began to wiggle that little tooth even more!

After her bath that evening, Bobby worked on getting her tooth out.  We knew she was anxious to loose a tooth so he gave her a hand while I documented with photos.  After maybe five minutes of work her teeny tiny tooth came out!  It was such a comical sight to see Hannah standing on the toilet, Bobby standing in front of her wiggling her tooth, me on the kids stool taking pictures, Sammy standing beside me eating a yogurt, and our cat Milo beside Sam- all of us crammed into our bathroom just to see this momentous event!  We're a close family for sure.

Awesome God, Amazing Power

What:  Vacation Bible School
Where:  Bountyland Baptist Church
When:  June 4th - 8th from 9am to 12pm

This is the first year in a long time that the kids and I participated in vacation Bible school.  Since we haven't been a part of our church community very long -and because I am almost 8 months pregnant- I just signed up to be a craft assistant.  I love all things crafty you know.

The theme was cute and perfect in my opinion...Amazing Wonders Aviation.  There were posters and replicias of the Grand Canyon, Victoria Falls, the Northern Lights, the Great Barrier Reef and the ? Volcano (sorry but the name of the volcano eludes me at the moment.)  The focus was on the amazing blessing of God's creation.

All kids were given a passport and a boarding pass when they arrived each morning.  When they entered the side church door our "security guard" punched their boarding pass and directed them to their appropriate gate (the pew where their teacher was sitting.)  As they moved to the different activities prepared for them they would receive a stamp on their passports.  When they came to us for crafts they were stamped as attending the Great Barrier Reef.  Their little name tags were shaped like airplanes to go along with the aviation theme.

It was a crazy week and we were exhausted at the end of every day but it was definitely worth it.  I enjoyed reaching out to the people in our community and getting to know the parents as well as their children.  We're called to be a light to the world and I believe there were many families who were blessed by the time and energy we invested in their children.  I know we'll probably never see most of those kids again but all we can do is plant the seeds of His Truth and trust our Heavenly Father that He will help them to grow.

I wish I had taken more pictures of the decorations and the children but I was a little preoccupied with the crafts.

May 2012

It's not going to take me long at all the recap May in the Clark House.

On the 19th Mr. Clark and I celebrated our 11th anniversary.  Eleven sweet years of being married to my best friend and the absolute love of my life.  I can honestly say it's an honor and a blessing to be Mrs. Robert R. Clark.  I know I say it all the time but Bobby is the smartest, kindest, funniest person I know and I get to experience those qualities every day!  He is such an amazing husband and I've seen him grow and become more expressive in this area over the past years.  I cannot even begin to tell you how much he's cared for me and helped me throughout this pregnancy.  Hannah & Samuel simply adore Bobby and it's easy to see why.  I love watching the kids (especially Sammy) following Bobby as he goes about his chores.  They're constantly talking to him as he works and looking for ways to help him.
On our actual anniversary we spent the day with our very dear friends, the McCall's, celebrating their son's 3rd birthday.  The next weekend the kids had a sleepover with my parents while Bobby & I had an evening out by ourselves.

On the 22nd I turned thirty-one.  I had the best birthday ever (but I think I say that every year!)  Bobby stayed home from work and got up with the kids so I could sleep late.  Then he made pancakes for us all.  He had planned to make supper for me as well but I requested a meal that was easier to make myself than to explain to someone else.  It was a peaceful, relaxing day for sure.  And do you know that that dear sweet man also surprised me with a new camera as well?  I love it!  The kids have inherited my old camera so I'll have to post some of their pictures soon.

I think that about sums up May for us.  The rest of our days were busy with every day life...work, cleaning, babysitting, playing with the kids, etc.  Nothing too exciting.

The rest of my pictures from Panama City aren't very exciting.  I thought there was more of Hannah but I must have been hallucinating.  Not sure why I didn't take more of her but I guess Sammy was sitting still whereas I would have been chasing Hannah!

It's Official...

Mr. Amos James Clark will be making his appearance on July 11th, 2012.

I went to the doctor last week and we officially scheduled my c-section.  Dr. French says that my weight and blood pressure look good so he thinks I'll have no problems until the 11th.  Neither Hannah or Samuel showed signs of coming early so I think we're safe.  Unless the Lord has plans otherwise we have slightly less than a month to go!

Now we've got to get busy setting up the crib and finding a place for all of gifts we've been blessed with over the past month.  We have diapers and clothes galore!

Just a picture of the two cutest kids in the world to hold you over until my next post!

Panama City Beach

I know...finally.  I'm a serious slacker when it comes to all things blog related.  May & the beginning of June have been rather busy for us but I think things are finally starting to slow down.  At least for the moment!

I now present to you Panama City Beach...May 5th-May 13th

Our day generally consisted of:
  •  sleeping late
  •  eating a late breakfast
  • getting into our swimsuits & heading to the beach
  • returning to the hotel pool when it was time to reapply sunscreen (have you ever tried to apply spray on sunscreen on a windy beach?)
  • swim in the pool until lunch time
  • go back to our room and eat lunch
  • rest for an hour or so...
  • return to the beach.  The kids would make all sorts of sandcastles and shapes while Bobby & I took turns snorkeling for shells.
  • eventually head back to the pool
  • swim in the pool until supper
  • return to the hotel room & eat supper
  • return to the pool for about an hour
  • baths and bedtime for kiddos
The only time we deviated from this routine was the one day we took the kids shopping for souvenirs and then we went to an all you can eat seafood buffet one evening for supper.

Now for the pictures - which consist of my cuties on the beach.  There are more on Bobby's Macbook that I may or may not get around to editing and posting.  I'm leaning more towards may not with my sluggish tendencies.

{My Favorite}
Okay...I will definitely post more pictures from Bobby's computer b/c I know I have more of Hannah.  But for now you can just enjoy these sweet cutie pies!

The Clark's Next Big Adventure

So much for keeping the blog updated this year 😂  The Clark family is embarking on another adventure though and it's too big not to doc...
