Around Jonesboro: ASU Museum

We are so lucky that Jonesboro has a super awesome museum and even luckier that it's on the Arkansas State campus.  Right behind Bobby's building actually.  So one day we checked out Bobby's office, had a quick lunch with him and then headed over to the museum.  There was so much to do and see that the kids didn't want to leave.

There were two different rooms when you first enter and one was filled with foam blocks and the other with tons of art supplies and puzzles.  I didn't think I was ever going to get the kids out of those rooms and into the actual museum.

Randomly the museum will host different exhibits and so this time we got to enjoy Mindbender Mansion.  There were four different "rooms" and each room had three puzzles that you had to solve.  Once you solved all three puzzles you used your answers to open the vault.  When you opened the vault you were given a clue.  Once you had all four clues you could get your picture made and received a certificate for completing Mindbender Mansion.  The kids had so much fun doing this.  I was so proud of them too because most of the puzzles were hard.

The rest of the museum was really interesting but we honestly sped through it because it was getting near Shiloh's nap time.  We're planning to go back another day and look at everything else.  One thing we did do was look for Howl -the stuffed Red Wolf.  He hides in a different place in the museum each day and when you find him you take a selfie with him in the background.  Post it on any social media and you're entered to win a prize.  Hannah & Samuel raced through looking for him but Amos & I found him first.

Sammy is working on making a roller coaster.

Hannah's princess tower.

Shiloh immediately crawled onto the table to eat crayons and do some coloring himself.

I'll openly admit it took me forever to figure this one out.  I'm sure my husband could have done it within seconds but...  I was so proud when I figured it out.

This was my fate on the Wheel O' Fate.  Rather appropriate.

 Amos & I found Howl!

The mastodon in the lobby.  Later this year there will be an even bigger dinosaur display!

The Clark's Next Big Adventure

So much for keeping the blog updated this year 😂  The Clark family is embarking on another adventure though and it's too big not to doc...
